“Updating and expanding critical infrastructure is necessary for community growth and prosperity, and that goes right back to Sundt’s purpose as a company,” said Jasen Bennie, Sundt's Vice President and Intermountain Regional Manager. “We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship with TSSD and working together to meet our community’s needs.”
The project involves removing approximately 12,400 feet of 42-inch reinforced concrete pipe and replacing it with 54-inch fiberglass reinforced plastic pipe. The scope also includes installation of 36 sewer manholes, a new meter vault, and modifying and rehabilitating the district’s headworks inlet structure with a spray-on liner at the wastewater treatment plant.
For more than two decades, Sundt has expanded and improved infrastructure in the Beehive State. In 2019, Sundt broke ground on the new Water Reclamation Facility for Salt Lake City’s Department of Public Utilities located in northern Salt Lake City. The $528 million facility will serve more than 200,000 customers over a 110-square-mile service area. Sundt is also working on the CL-N1 66" Parallel Westside Interceptor Pipeline for TSSD.
