DENVER, CO — Del Walker, PE, joins HNTB as Senior Program Manager and Vice President in Denver. In this role, Walker will provide leadership and solutions to transportation clients facing critical infrastructure improvement needs. Walker will work closely with clients throughout Colorado, California, and the Western states to develop and deliver transportation projects.

“Del has a very diverse background leading large programs and projects as an Owner, Consultant, and Developer,” said David Downs, PE, HNTB Program Management/Business Development Leader and Senior Vice President. “His 360-degree perspective will be valuable to our clients as he has successfully worked with innovative delivery models — including public-private partnerships, design-build, and construction management-general contractor — leading project management/construction management teams in a variety of transportation markets including highway, toll, transit, and aviation. He quickly will become a great asset in helping HNTB’s clients deliver key programs and projects.”

Walker comes to HNTB with 35 years of experience in planning, procurement, design, and construction of highway, toll, and transit facilities. Earlier in his career, Walker served as Deputy Assistant General Manager, Capital Programs for Denver’s Regional Transportation District where he was responsible for implementation of the RTD FasTracks program. He also previously was Director of Staff Branches for the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), where he served on CDOT’s executive management team.
