NEW YORK, NY — Sean Yaghobi joins WSP as Senior Vice President and Vertical Transportation Department Manager. Based in WSP’s New York office, Yaghobi is responsible for delivering design, construction, and testing commissioning services for elevator and escalator design on WSP projects, such as airport terminals, transit facilities, government buildings, and more.

In addition to supporting the full project lifecycle, he drives strategic growth of WSP’s vertical transportation business and serves on the firm’s Northeast Transportation and Infrastructure business management team.

With more than 20 years of vertical transportation experience in manufacturing, construction, and engineering services, Yaghobi held numerous senior leadership positions. He worked on transit and rail, aviation, government, and building projects in Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, San Diego, Toronto, London, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates.

Yaghobi earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and is a licensed elevator/escalator inspector from National Association of Elevator Safety Authorities.
